Hoveraid employs 3 staff in the UK and in 13 Madagascar. Vacancies are advertised here.
HoverAid is primarily a voluntary organisation with opportunities for graduates to join our UK team as self-supported staff. Interns are based at our office in the Cambridge area and can join working parties to our hovergarage in Uckfield twice a month. We aim to tailor intern's tasks to their skills which may include research, fundraising and event planning, website editing, database management, advocacy and awareness raising, church networking and much more besides. Current staff have degrees in engineering, disaster management, business and human rights but your enthusiasm, work ethic and proactive nature are more important than your degree discipline.
Internships are initially for 3 months and recruitment is on a rolling basis. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
"Working at HoverAid has been fantastic! Not only has it provided me with brilliant insight into the international development sector but also into the huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes at a growing UK charity. The staff here are utterly dedicated, with a huge wealth of experience they are only too happy to share. I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects often taking the lead myself. These have included organising a 2-day fundraising cycle ride, designing downloadable fundraising resources and editing web content. This is the kind of perfect hands-on office experience employers are looking for in graduates."

Short term involvement
Overseas positions are generally self-supported too which means you'll need to raise the money required to join one of our visits to Madagascar. We'll help you every step of the way and you can find out more about short overseas placements on our international opportunities page.
To find out about lots of informal volunteering opportunities see our other get involved pages.
