Beside the Pangalene canal , this dwelling was destroyed in the cyclones. The canoe is wrecked and there is no other route out. It is not clear what happened to the family who lived here or whether any rescue was possible…

A brand new govt school. A long walk off road for all the children to get to and inaccessible for much of Dec, Jan, Feb. During the wet season Which is all in term time

The three teachers continue to teach here even though the parents cannot afford to pay them since the pineapple crop was destroyed…..
