So – a seat is just a thing you sit on? Right? Well yes, except in a River Rover Hovercraft you may be sitting in the seat for many hours at a time – travelling a hundred kilometres or more to a remote community to bring aid or information. So the seats we use need to be really comfortable, give good support, allow you to get in and out easily, and be able to cope with the worst that years of sand, water, mud, muck and use throw at them. And that’s just up front. The rear seats are designed to fold down so that with the front passenger seat they form a stretcher bay. Needless to say we don’t make the seats ourselves but they aren’t available simply off the shelf – so we do need to bring a bit of HoverAid special attention to the ones we get to transform them into River Rover seats!
